Adventurous Leh Tour Package from Delhi 7 Days / 6 Nights Itinerary
Here’s a day-by-day breakdown of your unforgettable Ladakh expedition.
Day 1: Delhi to Leh – Arrival at the Top of the World
Fly from Delhi to Leh (approx. 1.5 hours). As the plane descends, you’ll be greeted by breathtaking views of the Himalayas. Upon arrival at Leh Airport (3,500m), our representative will greet you and transfer you to your hotel.
-
: Complete Rest and Acclimatization
This is the most important rule of any Adventurous Leh tour from Delhi. The first day is dedicated to complete rest to allow your body to acclimatize to the high altitude. No sightseeing. Drink plenty of water, avoid heavy meals, and take it easy. In the evening, a gentle walk around the hotel area is permitted.
Day 2: Leh Local Sightseeing – Monasteries and Palaces
After a good night’s rest, you’ll feel the effects of acclimatization. Today, we explore the rich cultural heritage of Leh.
-
: Magnetic Hill and Confluence
Visit the famous Magnetic Hill, where the layout of the road creates an optical illusion that makes vehicles appear to roll uphill. Continue to the Sangam, the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers, a spectacular sight. -
: Gurudwara Pathar Sahib
Pay your respects at Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, a serene and beautiful gurudwara commemorating the visit of Guru Nanak Dev. -
: Hall of Fame and Leh Palace
Visit the Hall of Fame museum, run by the Indian Army, dedicated to soldiers who lost their lives in the Kargil War. Later, explore the historic Leh Palace and the nearby Shanti Stupa, offering panoramic views of the Leh city and surrounding mountains.
Day 3: Leh to Nubra Valley – Via Khardung La
Today is the day for a true adventure. After an early breakfast, we begin our drive to the stunning Nubra Valley.
-
: Khardung La – One of the World’s Highest Motorable Roads
En route, we conquer the famous Khardung La Pass (5,359m). Stop for photos and soak in the achievement of being at such a high altitude. The views of the Karakoram range are simply breathtaking. -
: Nubra Valley – Sand Dunes and Bactrian Camels
Descend into the green and fertile Nubra Valley, also known as the “Orchard of Ladakh.” Visit the Diskit Monastery, overlooking the valley, and then head to the sand dunes at Hunder for a unique experience—a ride on a double-humped Bactrian camel. Overnight stay in a comfortable camp or hotel in Nubra.
Day 4: Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake – A Journey Through Chang La
After breakfast, we drive towards the world-famous Pangong Lake.
-
: Chang La Pass
En route, we cross another high mountain pass, Chang La (5,360m), the third highest motorable pass in the world. -
: Pangong Lake – The Cobalt Blue Miracle
Arrive at the stunning Pangong Lake, a brackish lake spanning India and China. The lake’s color changes from deep blue to turquoise and green as the sun moves across the sky. Spend the evening walking along the shores, taking photographs, and absorbing the surreal beauty made famous by the movie “3 Idiots.” Overnight stay in a camp near the lake.
Day 5: Pangong Lake to Leh – Return Journey
Wake up to a spectacular sunrise over the lake. After breakfast, we begin our drive back to Leh, enjoying the ever-changing landscapes along the way. Arrive in Leh by late afternoon. The rest of the evening is free for you to explore the local market and pick up souvenirs.
Day 6: Leh – Free Day for Optional Excursions
Today is yours to relax or explore further. You can choose to:
